J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College has just recieved the news that they have been awarded a grant for the Department of Energy for the development of a new Advanced Electric Drive Vehicle Career Studies Certificate which will focus on Electric Vehicles, Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicles, and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. An advanced electronics course will focus on electronic control systems for electric drive vehicles. The program is envisioned to be very flexible in nature as these technologies will continue to develop over the next decade and beyond.
